Who the exam-only option is for
This option does not include the training workshop. It may suit you if:
- your Food Handler Certificate has expired and you are renewing it;
- you have completed food safety training before; or
- you have food safety experience and are ready to prepare on your own.
Choose the one-day workshop if you want guided instruction, practice, and exam preparation before writing.
What happens next

Send your request
Choose exam only on the request form. You can attend on a scheduled English or Mandarin workshop day, or request a different exam date.

Receive confirmation
We will confirm the session and email the exact GTA venue, room number, and parking instructions. The Markham mailing address is not a walk-in or exam location.

Write the exam
Arrive early with government-issued photo ID. A Chinese- and English-speaking proctor will supervise the session.

Payment and confirmation
Payment is required to secure your exam time. Pay by Interac e-Transfer, or arrange exact cash payment by phone in advance. Credit cards and cheques are not accepted.
Include your name and exam date in the e-Transfer notes. Auto-deposit is enabled.
